Kathleen's Story

McNally Photography has been a lifelong love for Kathleen and her father, Edward. Ed earned his college degree in photography and began his portrait career while Kathleen was a young child. Kathleen grew up watching her father capture memories and took an interest around the age of nine when she started assisting her father at weddings and portrait sessions. Little did she know that her job of fixing a bride’s veil or making a child laugh would soon turn into a passion to capture timeless, emotional photographs.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
Aaron Siskind

Kathleen has worked energetically since high school to capture the excitement of life through her work. After college, she took over the family business, and her family still works alongside her at various photography events and plays a key role in the quality of service offered by McNally Photography. Now with a family of her own, Kathleen realizes even more how fast time flies by and the importance of capturing visual images of loved ones.

Kathleen’s goal is to tell a story about her subjects and produce images that will be treasured throughout generations. Her belief that every person deserves professional service shows in her willingness to work with clients and their needs. She blends traditional lighting and posing learned from her father with her love to “capture the moment in time” photojournalism to produce beautiful works or art! McNally Photography believes that every picture taken is a celebration of life, which is precious and should be shared.
